[OTC] Luck
[
prettywhnbroken used with permission of his mun who made a request for Partner!Bela in Hell.]
“This is a bad idea.”
“And why is that exactly?”
“Because you’re the one who came up with it.”
Bela rolled her eyes, before turning back to him, twisting her body slightly so that she could see him over the chains that were holding them in place. It was painful, but if she wanted to speak to him, she didn’t really have a choice in the matter. Her face grimaced and she took a deep breath before speaking to him again, giving him a luck.
“I’m sure we can consider ourselves both reasonably lucky people,” she said with a sigh. “There’s no reason that luck shouldn’t swing our way once or twice down here as well.”
“Sorry, Bela, but did you forget the name over the welcome desk when you checked in?” Dean shot her a look. “This is hell, sweetheart. By virtue of landing here, I think that we should consider ourselves shit out of that luck you were talking about.”
“So we get partners. Form a team. Do something.” She was starting to get frustrated. She needed him in on this. There were some other souls who were willing to go through with it, but that didn’t necessarily mean they were strong enough. Dean had enough willpower to even be stubborn to the face of Satan himself, so if there was one thing she needed to get this plan to work, it was Dean Winchester on her side, and so far, it just wasn’t working out in her favor. She took another deep breath, before looking back at him again. “We can’t just sit here, Dean. Otherwise we’re going to become one of them.”
Something seemed to register with him on that count, something beyond all the hopelessness and the fear. He looked up at her and swallowed slightly, before closing his eyes. “What exactly do you have in mind?”
She smiled, if only for a fleeting second before glancing around to see if anyone was watching (a futile effort, someone was always watching), before turning back to him and leaning in as she started to speak.
“—Here’s what I was thinking—”
