[ROTM] Mun Prompt
**SPOILERS FOR ALL CURRENT EPISODES** Also -- gratuitous rambling.
Generally when I create NPC’s for canon characters, I stick to family and ex-lovers. I guess it’s because those are the relationships I feel I can develop the most easily without getting it totally wrong when it comes to canon. Ex-lovers are easy, because generally speaking, there can always be one that the show doesn’t mention, and family is well, family. Even if you don’t meet the character’s family on the show, the way they respond to certain questions regarding them is a big key to how they feel about that particular family member, and what they’re like.
That being said, Supernatural is so family oriented, that creating a familial NPC is harder. With the main focus of the show being the brothers and their bond, the heavy emphasis is something you don’t want to screw with by creating a character that you later find out doesn’t exist, or is completely different from how you envisioned. Especially when you’re doing prompts like this, wanting to incorporate as much canon as possible, and you’ve got canon like they’ve given Bela, and you’ve actually killed one of your family members for a yet to be specified reason. So going down the list of NPCs I easily create, the next logical stop is the ex-lover. Which I’ve already kind of done, but I guess I get to flesh him out a bit? Yes? Anyway:
Ethan Murone: Ethan is the handsome, charming, owner of a posh art gallery in London. Bela got her start as an art thief, ripping off galleries all throughout the city before she moved onto the occult objects she deals in today. When she met Ethan, she and the gang she was working with at the time, knew that he was going to be trickier to get to. They planted Bela in as a fascinated art student, and she slowly managed to seduce him into trusting her. In a sense, Ethan really got under her skin. After they managed to rip off his gallery for millions in fine art, he confronted her about it, and while she should have she never denied her involvement. She never affirmed it either, and seeing as he really had no evidence against her, he couldn’t do anything to her legally speaking, so he destroyed her name, socially speaking, and is one of the many reasons why she now lives in New York to begin with.
As for how he would interact with the other characters in her world, at this present state and time, Bela’s world that we know of consists of Gert Chase, Sam and Dean Winchester, and Bobby Singer. Gert would probably find Ethan incredibly charming and hit on him as she did with Sam. As for the Winchesters and Bobby, depending on what his business is with the people who happened to be involved, he could either reinforce what they already believe about Bela to begin with, or they can just wind up with another person to hate. It all depends on his motives, which can sometimes be sketchy at best.
