I remember all the days gone by
And I'm wonderin' why I couldn't see
I could search the whole world over
And never find what you were always giving me
She found herself thinking about the Winchesters a lot lately. She wasn’t sure why or what brought this on, but she had to admit, she was curious as to what happened to them. If anyone could will themselves through a worldwide pandemic, it would be Sam and Dean Winchester. They were stubborn in ways that used to drive Bela up the wall, but now, she was finding she kind of missed.
Maybe it was the new world order that had come into place, or maybe it was the fact there were much less people on the planet, but she was finding it harder than usual to piss off people these days. And while some might consider that a good thing, she missed the competition. She missed the way she could screw with them so easily—how what she said or did got them both so frustrated. That, and she hadn’t had a reason to want to shoot anyone in a while. While it would be a bad idea, considering the state that the world was in, the uneasy calm that the world had fallen into was starting to not sit well with her. She wanted some—opposition. She wanted someone who would fight with her, but still do business with her when it was all over.
Then again, the way that things had been left between her and the boys weren’t exactly—pleasant. She had almost gotten them killed. Hell, knowing them, they were probably idiots, went after Gordon, and Gordon had taken care of them before the virus could get to them. At that point, the virus might have actually seemed like a—peaceful way to go.
She took another sip of her tea, making her way back to her couch as the curtain fell shut on her window. Her eyes fell on the spirit board in the corner, and for a moment she was tempted. If anyone were to know where Sam and Dean were, and what happened to them, it would be the astral plane. But she resisted—knowing Sam and Dean, they probably would either be very much at peace now that they’re dead, or be two highly pissed off spirits. She didn’t need the Winchesters haunting her until she, herself, crossed over. So for right now, the Winchesters would stay wherever they were. It was the better deal for all three of them.
Didn’t make her any less lonely though.
