[JMM] Shantiveda quote

[Set in [livejournal.com profile] justtostayalive. Follows THIS. Sam = [livejournal.com profile] likely_evil and Dean is [livejournal.com profile] hasperkynipples.]

“If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?”

She shouldn’t have told him.

It wasn’t like it was any of his business. He was her husband, but he wasn’t her husband. She shouldn’t have said anything about her dying, period. It clearly wouldn’t have mattered at this point, and now an off-hand comment had turned into Sam Winchester trying to save her, and she wasn’t entirely sure how she felt about that.

She deserved to go to Hell. Maybe not exactly when the decision was made, but she’d done her best afterwards to earn it. And she tried her hardest to get out of the deal as she did, but in the end, she’d accepted it. She’d let it go. She was going to die and go to Hell, and that was going to be that. There was no point in worrying about the problem she couldn’t solve, so instead of sitting on her ass and whining about it, she was doing the best she could to make sure she’d earned her sentence.

While Abby had been a nice girl once upon a time, Bela Talbot wanted to make sure that if she was going to go down, it was going to be in flames. She did the best she could, did everything her conscience could live with in order to make sure that when she went to burn in Hell it wasn’t just because she made an uninformed decision. She wanted to e the lost cause that she had been forced into becoming. She hard reached the point where she hadn’t wanted to be saved, and she was okay with that.

Then, Sam Winchester came along. Suddenly, she had hope all over again, and she wasn’t sure she was quite happy with that feeling.
