[JP] Choose your own adventure
I'm not linking this to
justprompts but it looked like fun, and my muse is being a jerk so this might kick it into gear?
1. Post a reply with your muse, my muse, and a verse. You can pick any of my muses. I have many. (Keep in mind that with the Buffyverse muses, I've only just started S4 of Buffy and S1 of Angel.) One request per person, please. If we finish the first one and you really want a second? Talk to me and we'll work it out.
2. I will reply to your muse with an adventure. After each section, I will give you three choices of where the story will go. You reply with your choice and I will continue on.
3. Let’s see if we can get a full story done in 10-15 replies.
4. PG-13 limit for now. Just cuz I don't think my brain could take more than that.
Go for it.
(Also, I have turned off comment e-mailing since I'm doing all of them here and don't want to get twenty million e-mails, so if I don't get to you in a reasonable amount of time, poke me? I don't bite. :D)

Shelter: Hide and Seek Takes Two to Tango (1)
Bela's eyes were focused on Michael, and she could tell by the look on his face that he wasn't pleased by the accusation. They had been searching for Cole for over an hour now, and while Michael swore that he hadn't left the apartment, Bela was starting to doubt that severely. Either he was not in the apartment, or he was better at hiding than they thought he was. The latter was not highly likely. Cole usually tended to give himself away more often than not.
"I didn't lose him," Michael said firmly. "He's here somewhere, we just have to -- "
He cut out suddenly, and tilted his head to the side slightly, and Bela paused whatever she was doing to listen as well. Softly, coming from some area of the room, she could hear the soft giggle of a little boy. He was still out of view, but at least she was breathing a little easier knowing he was a bit closer.
"Cole, darling. Game's over. Time to come out now."
All that request was met with was more giggling, and Bela was officially no longer amused. Michael put a finger to his lips, nodding his head in the direction of one of the closets, starting to make his way closer and getting ready to pull open the door.
Choose!:
1) Nothing behind the door.
2) A wild Westen-Talbot she-spawn appears!
3) Surprise! You have a Cole Westen!

"Oh, don't look so disappointed."
Michael just gave her a look. "Where's your brother?"
"To hell if -- "
"Language."
"Fine. To heck if I know. He's the one who decided he wanted to play hide and go seek with Mom and Dad."
Bela huffed a bit at that. "Well, clearly someone didn't teach him that when he's doing the hiding, the person who's seeking has to be in on it." She paused for a moment, before tilting her head towards the rest of the apartment. "Cole? Game's over. Come out, now."
And her tone indicated that she was not playing around.
Choose!:
1) More devious little boy giggling.
2) Actual words!
3) Ominous nothing-at-all-ness.

"Cole? This isn't funny anymore. Come out now."
Bela wasn't sure if she was more angry or scared, and she didn't like not knowing. She felt Michael's hand on her gun arm, and she looked back at him, eyes full of worry and he held up a hand, indicating for her to wait.
"C'mon, buddy. C'mon out."
Choose!:
1) Verbal response
2) Magical appearing!Cole
3) Unidentified scream

Shelter: Hide and Seek Takes Two to Tango (4)
This was what Bela had been afraid of. She had been afraid of something supernatural coming after her, either for what she had done, or just for the hell of it, and whatever it was coming after her children was not something she wanted to deal with. Not now. Not when she had so much at stake.
She reached the door before Michael did, trying her best not to see panicked, and once her hand landed on the door knob she wretched it open, her eyes scanning wildly to find --
Choose!:
1) Sara-Rose
2) Cole
3) A Winchester

"The juice from the maraschino cherries." Sara Rose looked up at her parents with a scowl. "I'm gonna kill him."
"No one's killing anyone. Yet." Michael looked between his wife and his middle child for a moment, making sure they were both calm before putting his attention on Sara-Rose. "Which way did he go?"
Choose!:
1) To the bathroom.
2) To the kitchen.
3) To the air ducts.

Fences: I was a Handyman ... in a Past Life (1)
Granted she was only just about four and probably wouldn't remember much from this time with Sam anyway, but -- details.
Sammy had wanted to come with him, actually, but he had turned her down. She would get herself into too much trouble or bean herself with a hammer, or get lost in a box, so Dean had left her at home with her brother. Right now, he was coming up on Sam's door, alone, and now all there was left to do was take a breath, suck up the worry and the doubt, and knock.
Which he did.
Choose!:
1) Sam opens the door.
2) Abby opens the door.
3) Mrs. Zolwanski opens the door -- Dean's at the wrong apartment.

"Sorry. Can I help you?"
Dean blinked for a moment, before shaking himself out of it and pointing to the door. "I'm looking for my brother. He just moved in here -- Sam Winchester? I must be at the wrong -- "
"No," the woman shook her head slightly, before backing up to let him in. "Sam's here, he's just -- sleeping. I can get him if you want."
Dean paused for a moment, rubbing the back of his neck idly as he tried to sort out what the appropriate response to this would be. And wonder when Sam happened to meet this girl. One night stands tended not to stick around in their date's clothes.
"Well -- "
Choose!:
1) " -- yeah. If you could that would be great."
2) " -- no, I was just coming by to help him move in. I'll come back later."
3) " -- no, I can wait. He needs the rest. I'm Dean, by the way."

Helter Skelter: When the Damsel is Actually a Damsel (1)
Anyone who got to know her long enough knew that, which meant that when she got pissed off or stuck somewhere she didn't want to be stuck, anywhere near her was the last place you wanted to be. Well, unless you were going to let her out. Then she could be your new best friend before kicking her ass for not coming after her sooner.
Which she was going to do to Sam as soon as he got his giant self off of Lana and over here to help her out. She loved playing around with Lana as much as the next person, but when some dick of a hunter decided to trap her and leave her there to rot, she was finding herself rather annoyed and at too pretty a high level of pissed off for her to care about Sam getting his rocks off at the moment. She wanted him here yesterday.
She could hear the sound of footsteps coming from the floor above her, and did her best to brace herself. Could be the hunters coming back, could be her ticket out of there, could be something completely different. Ruby wasn't sure, and until she was, than hand was tightening around the hilt of her knife, ready to do battle if she needed to.
There was a more footsteps and someone started to descend the stairs, and Ruby swallowed slightly, before peering into the darkness, trying to see who it was. "Sam?"
"Ruby? That you?."
The voice set her at ease a little more, but her guard wasn't going down yet. There were too many variables, and right now she wasn't going to push. Though she was grateful. Just a little bit.
"Ding, ding," Ruby said coolly as Lana stepped into view. "You win the free toaster."
Choose!:
1) Concerned!Lana runs over to help Ruby out of the trap.
2) Cool!Lana wants to talk a bit first.
3) Annoyed!Lana wants her to suffer a little more.

"What happened?" Lana asked, as she straightened, before moving to the side so that Ruby could step off the trap.
"Hunters happened," Ruby sighed, stepping over the last of the paint and shuddering slightly. "They were fishing for information. But apparently have principles and won't torture humans, so they figured I was the better target."
The look Ruby was giving her indicated that Lana should be grateful they had principles, because what Ruby had gone through hadn't exactly been rainbows and fluffy bunnies. Lana just swallowed slightly and nodded.
"Who were they looking for information on?"
Choose!:
1) Sam
2) Dean
3) Lilith

Sam/Devon: Won't You Let Me Take You on a Sea Cruise (1)
Sam glanced over at where Devon standing and gave him a bit of a grin. "You did say I could choose." And while he knew this wasn't the most quiet weekend he could manage, there were only rapids like this every so often, and if it just happened to coincide with something fun like this -- who was he to complain.
Andy and Marion were standing off to the side with their life preservers and helmets, and Sam was going through the helmets to find one that fit him, while talking to Devon over his shoulder, who still had to sign the release form. "There's a release form. When you said rafting, I wasn't aware that there would be a chance of injury or death."
"Not on this river," Sam sighed as he walked over, helmet on his head. "And not if you're safe. Trust me, okay?"
"I am. I do." Devon sighed, before turning back to the counter and finishing signing the form. After that he turned back to Sam with a half-smile. "Where to next?"
"Right out there," Sam replied, pointing to the rows of vests and helmets. "Find your size, and our guide should be out in a second."
"Okay," Devon said with a nod, as he turned back to the line of vests in front of him.
Choose!:
1) Guide comes by to help, adjusts Devon's vest too tightly.
2) Andy offers something from his wealth of white water rafting experience.
3) It starts to rain.

Sam/Devon: Won't You Let Me Take You on a Sea Cruise (2)
"Tons?"
"Yeah," Andy said with a nod. "My dad used to take me and my brothers rafting on the Leigh all the time. Lock your feet in the raft, lean away from the rapids as oppose as into them, you'll be fine."
"Unless you have Mike's luck," Marion smirked.
At that, Andy laughed. "Man, he did everything and he could never keep himself in the boat."
"Guys?" Devon frowned, looking between both of them. "That's -- not exactly helping."
"Sorry," Andy sighed. "But I'm serious. Follow the safety precautions and listen to the guide and you shouldn't have a problem."
Sam watched Devon for a moment, and the other man looked back at him before sighing slightly. "I hope you're right."
Choose!:
1) Everybody on the bus!
2) Guide's got the flu.
3) Look! A beaver dam!
